Dad & Mom are God’s strategy for youth discipleship

I have been reminded over the last two days how important the investment we make in discipling our sons & daughters is to the mission given by Jesus in Matthew 28:19-20. Our church must be committed to discipling our sons & daughters. This requires more than dropping them off in the children’s ministry or student ministry. Those ministries are committed to partnering with parents not replacing them in the spiritual growth of our sons & daughters.
The critical task of those two ministries is to enlist & equip adults (especially parents) who will come alongside families to serve as a compliment to discipleship in the home and work together to raise up children who know, love, & serve our Lord Jesus Christ. Read more…
